Inspired by the artistic continuum of Beethoven's Kreutzer Sonata (which inspired a novella by Tolstoy which then sparked a music-theatre performance by Sara Brodie and an interpretation by the New Zealand String Quartet, which turned music nerd Sam Duckor-Jones on to the creative potential of eavesdropping on public transport), this is an ode to the evolution of story and how overlapping art worlds kōrero and inspire. We begin and end with poet/conductor, Luka Venter, who taps his poem baton and brings in our band of musical poets: taonga puoro master Ariana Tikao, first clarinettist Sinead Overbye, jazz singer Chris Price, hip-hop legend Jordan Hamel (Not Here But Still Here By Proxy) and pop idol Chris Tse. Created by Sam Duckor-Jones.
