A ceramics workshop for tamariki aged 6 – 10 years
Saturday 28 May / 10.30 – 12.30pm / $15pp
Ceramic artists Ruth Stanton Macleod and June Inch will teach you how to craft beautiful objects in clay, using found materials from nature. Once the pieces are fired we will contact you to tell you your pieces are ready for collection.
You will make an owl sculpture, hanging bird feeder and a small pinch pot planter with a succulent included.
Scavenge for seasonal treasures (eg. leaves, acorns, seed heads, feathers, shells) and bring them along (some will be supplied by the tutors).
Caregivers are not required to supervise during the session, but are welcome to spend time at the gallery, or visit the local shops and cafes while you wait.
*Please note that under the Orange setting of the COVID-19 Protection Framework, all adult visitors to the gallery must wear a mask unless they can show a valid exemption.*
