Kate Bergin - Artist Talk - Exhibition Opening Night

'The Pleasure of Your Company' Front Room Exhibition
Opening Thursday night, 7th July at 5pm - 7pm, with an artist talk from Kate Bergin herself at 6.30pm.

This is a free event, open to all.

With a career spanning 25 years, Kate Bergin is regarded as a highly collectible artist. Her artworks revel in the unusual, the precarious and the unexpected. Animals poised to leap from the canvas; birds to take flight; Bergin’s intoxicating work, captures the mundane and exotic in virtuosic detail. Kate Bergin studied at the Victorian College of the Arts from 1990-92. While the main building was located on St Kilda Road the Painting Department was housed at the back of the National Gallery of Victoria. Being able to access the collection on a daily basis and study it up close had an enormous influence and gave her an appreciation for great painting techniques.
