Join us on a boat ride to Kaipupu Point Wildlife Sanctuary and enjoy a guided walk on a 2.8km loop track around the 40-hectare sanctuary in the middle of Picton harbour. As you walk around the peninsula you can take in gorgeous views of the inner Queen Charlotte Sound, and enjoy the birdsong in this special protected piece of NZ forest.
The sanctuary is a refuge to a variety of insects, lizards and birds, which are all increasing in number due to the sanctuary’s predator-proof fence and the hard work of our volunteers. Bring comfortable
footwear and clothing, sun protection, a water bottle and medication if allergic to wasps. Departing from the Beachcomber Jetty, Picton at 9.30 prompt on Sunday Feb 20th, returning by 12pm at latest.
