The Incubator

Delve into anime illustration by creating your own chibi character!

Participants will become familiar with the purpose of the chibi style, as well as a range of expressions and how these are typically portrayed. There will also be a short introduction to contemporary chibi applications.

Using pens, pencils, and felt pens, guided by Malo Merle, participants will take away a basic understanding of forms typically used in chibi illustration, most importantly faces and expressions.
By the end of the workshop participants will have created their own unique chibi expression character pulling from various independent components.
