This class will cover how to isolate the correct amount of material for each section in an integral knife and create a smooth transition from the ricasso into the blade. Forged bolster are commonly seen on french style kitchen knives and on small hunting/utility knives.
Your knife will be made from 25mm 1078 steel using a combination of work with hammer and anvil, our power hammer and a hydraulic press. You will make a knife with a 125mm blade, 225mm total length.
