The evening will be filled with live music, fire dancers, roaming street performers as well as a vibrant night market offering delicious food and tasty treats, homemade goodies, crafts, and more. If the cold becomes a bit much for the little ones, they can escape to the Craft Cave to create their light-up masterpiece, get creative, or snuggle in for a story or two. Tūhura Otago Museum and the Dodd-Walls Centre are coming along with their "Illuminating Science" demonstrations.

After the lantern release, the fun continues with the Light Up Your Hat parade where everyone can show off their wild and wacky creations. The party then kicks off with Queenstown band LA Social that is sure to get everyone on the dance floor.
