Guitar - Acoustic

A great class both for those who have never played a guitar before and for those who already play the guitar and are familiar with the basics. Peter offers a customised course at a level suitable to your own individual experience, helping you to start or continue your musical journey. Those who are new to the guitar will learn how to play songs using chord charts and easy-to-read tablature. They can expect to play their first song by the end of lesson 1. They will also learn their first strumming and fingerpicking patterns.

Those who are already familiar with the basics will build on that foundation. They will learn songs with more complex chords and rhythm patterns. They will also learn to add musical colour to the songs they can already play.

The music that we use is a range of well-known songs both classic and modern. We draw on all musical styles such as blues, country, rock and classical. You are also encouraged to suggest songs that you personally would like to play, so that we can tailor the course to your own interests.
