Further Afield Exhibition Opening by John Lancashire

You are invited to the opening of 'Further Afield,' an exhibition showcasing the enchanting oils of blooming floral scenes by Hawke's Bay artist John Lancashire - otherwise recognised as The Monday Painter.
Opening Friday 11th November, 5-7pm. Refreshments will be provided.

John Lancashire, also known as The Monday Painter, attended art school in Sydney briefly but is largely self-taught, developing his own very distinctive impressionist style of painting.

John has exhibited consistently over the last decade or more, gathering a loyal base of paint enthusiasts. His works can be found in private collections, here in Hawke's Bay and abroad.

"My aim is to explore the possibilities of painting through a select collection of subject matter. My work is generally 'local' ie: a reflection of where I am physically and holistically: a communique to the collective."
