FibreEd 2022 is the biennial education event for our 3000 national members. It is 15 years since this event last came to New Plymouth. So, ensure you utilise this rare opportunity to chat with and support these skilled artisans and knowledgeable traders while they are here in Taranaki sharing their expertise and extensive range of fibre craft resources.

Buy - exclusive opportunity to indulge in a diverse range of specialist fibre craft supplies from 25 nationwide traders. Come touch, handle and squish the luscious fibres and yarns many direct from the makers and most not available locally. Spinning wheels, looms, carders, needles and hooks. Craft books, dyes, fabrics, patterns, buttons and trimmings. Locally crafted wearables and fibre art. Café on site.

Try – come and experience a new craft. Free Have-a Go Sessions - knitting, crochet, felting, weaving, and spinning - are available on Friday & Saturday 10am – 12pm and 1pm – 3pm.

See – be inspired by the innovative and traditional uses of harakeke in our national challenge exhibition, the exquisite works of our award-winning tutor’s exhibition, the ‘Out My Window” national tapestry weavers’ exhibition and other fibre craft displays.

Children free.
