Pūnanga Pohewa The dream sanctuary showcases the joint practice of husband-and-wife duo Lissy and Rudi Robinson-Cole. Through crocheted sculptural forms in neon colours, they bring together textures and shapes that explore their connection to this world and the next, and the practice of Mātauranga Māori. This exhibition embodies a series of works that relate to their 2021 artist residency in The Study - a new artist space studio space at Nathan Homestead Pukepuke. The artists express Pūnanga Pohewa The dream sanctuary as, “the realm which connects us to our wairua and our deepest dreams and desires. This is the space in which we are connected to our Tūpuna where we can share in that aroha. It is the space in which we are truly at one with our universe and to all our potentiality.”
