Nepalese Community in New Zealand is organising 'Everest Day 2022' as an initiative to commemorate the anniversary of the remarkable first ascent of Mount Everest on May 29, 1953, by Sir Edmund Hillary of New Zealand and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa of Nepal. This event is an opportunity to recognise the friendship between New Zealand and Nepal forged at the Top of The World 69 years ago and explore areas of common interest in the mountaineering & tourism sector. Every year, the Nepalese community in New Zealand celebrates this event as one of our annual calendar's key events and festivals.
This year Nepalese community throughout New Zealand are joining together to host the Everest Day event in Auckland, Bay of Plenty, Hamilton and Invercargill and Wellington Parliament Hall. We cordially extend our invitation to attend the International Everest Day 2022.
Auckland: Sunday, May 29, 2022 (3.00 PM – 5.00 PM), 546 Mount Albert Road, Three Kings, Auckland
