Swing 42 are one of Aotearoa's most enduring Hot Club / Gypsy swing bands, comprising some of New Zealand's most dedicated and respected jazz musicians. They present exciting and dynamic performances in Ōtautahi Christchurch and elsewhere and have been featured in jazz festivals, open air concerts, dance events. Swing 42 stretch out on music by Django Reinhardt as well as choice jazz and latin standards.
Featuring the amazing Keith Petch and Bob Heinz on guitar, Reuban Derrick on clarinet and Mike Kime on Double Bass you don't get a gyspy swing quartet much better than this. A completely different style of jazz and one that makes us all smile....
Come on up to Fat Eddie's for Ed's Jazz Club, every Thursday night. Reserved Seating will get you your own table on the main floor (best seats in the house) or grab a spot anywhere else with a General Admission ticket. Fat Eddie's have a delicious menu and of course their ultra special drinks menu, so take Thursday night off and come into town to enjoy some of the best jazz Christchurch has to offer.
