Diwali in The Square

Celebrate Diwali, the Festival of Lights, in Te Marae o Hine once again!

This will be an epic event with energetic performances, arts and crafts, fun activities for the kids and incredible delicacies. Join us and enjoy the awesome festivities, including a laser light show!

While we will have a selection of delicious vegetarian food available, we also invite you to grab some food beforehand and bring it along with you. We’ll have some tables and chairs at hand, but you might like to bring a picnic blanket or mat down so you can chill out and enjoy the show from in front of the stage.

Diwali is a religious festival originating in India and marks the start of the Hindu New Year. During Diwali, people decorate their homes with lights and oil lamps, celebrate with friends and family, exchange gifts and enjoy delicious feasts. Come and get amongst the festivities!
