Olveston at Six continues the tradition of intimate chamber music concerts in the drawing room of the Theomin family home. The series presents some of Dunedin's finest professional musicians alongside guest artists from further afield.
The series is created for the festival by Tom McGrath. Since returning from Germany in 2003, he has performed as soloist and collaborative pianist throughout New Zealand. He joined the staff of the School of the Performing Arts of Otago in 2004.

Originally from Dunedin baritone Robert Tucker has performed regularly with NZ Opera. Together with pianist Tom McGrath, he presents a programme of English and German language artsong against the backdrop of political turmoil in the first half of the 20th century. The music covers a spectrum from romanticism to cabaret and is set to texts by Housman, Shakespeare, Brecht and Toller.
