Celebrate Otago’s vibrant Pasifika community in a week of song, dance, crafts, activities, delicious Pasifika delicacies, knowledge sharing, and a pop-up photographic exhibition.

From 10 – 18 September, you can pull up a bean bag and some art supplies to Sit and Sketch, and view Samoan artist, Virginia Mau G.’s photographic display of Tatau – Malu (traditional Samoan tattooing).

On 17 and 18 September, you can add to our collaborative lei, make a tropical wrist decoration or hair tie to bring home at our Creative Pasifika Makerspace.

On Sunday 18 September don’t miss the weaving demonstration with Misa Emma Kesha from 10.30am – 1.30pm, performances from Pasifika communities are starting at 2pm and delicious Pasifika-inspired food on sale at the Museum Café. Ukuleles will be available to play Pasifika style!
