Learn how to translate a photograph into your own unique work of art.

In this beginners' class, Kylie will teach you how to use a grid to transfer an image onto a canvas. She’ll be emphasising the use of colour and tone, as well as the idea of using different types of brush marks to create a powerful composition, an expressive work of art.

She will explain art concepts such as perspective, the focal point and 'the eye path'. She will also go over ways to critique your own work and make improvements to it, as well as discussing how to 'finish' a painting.

At the end of the workshop you will come away with solid strategies to approach a landscape painting. Kylie supports an enjoyable and experimental way of working so it should also be fun!

All materials are supplied as part of the class fee.

Booking is via the Feilding Art Society Website.
