Create a Diorama for Your Hero or Heroine - Kidsfest

Join us for a hands-on, creative session to make a diorama with a person or character who is a role model to you.

Start with an activity to discover what a role model is and decide on your favourite hero or heroine. Then spend some time snipping, folding and gluing to make a cool miniature setting for them inside a diorama box that you can take home and share with your whanau.

Participants will have the chance to take a guided tour of Kate Sheppard's house to learn about her leadership role in the suffrage movement and why she wanted women to have the vote. This activity is suitable for ages 8 to 12.
