Counties Chess Club next game day.

Hi all we had a better than expected turnout on the 30th December.

Our next Club Day is on the 8th January starting at 10am and finishing at midday our venue is the Mauku Victory Hall at 430 Union Road Mauku.

Children under 12 years and 3 months of age can play at our Chess Club at any time but everyone over 12 years and 3 months of age will need either a Vaccine Pass or medical exemption which will need to be shown to our Committee member at the entrance to our Hall.

Then either scan into our Counties Chess Club QR Code Poster provided or fill in our Contact Tracing Register before entering our playing area is all that is required.

We have a keen Junior Section with coaching available for Juniors and Seniors alike if wanted, we have between 20-25 Juniors (under18) on a normal Club night and between 15-20 Seniors numbers vary of course from Night to Night.

We have organised Club Competitions for those that want to take part in that sort of thing those that don’t want to take part we play Social Chess, we play other Chess Clubs some out of Auckland when we travel to play them for example we have travelled to Thames, Waihi and Hamilton to play their Chess Clubs just makes it more interesting to meet new people at new Chess Clubs which is a lot of fun our Chess Club also has a socially interactive aspect which i think is Very Important.
