Te ao Māori is an exciting and enduring culture that has shaped Aotearoa society and is an integral part of our contemporary lifestyle. This eight-week course introduces the structure of Māori language, society, customs and literature. At the end of the course, students will have a good understanding of Māori phrases, marae protocol and some tribal lore. You will be able to have a conversation and count in Māori, and will also know something of Māori society. What to bring: Notepad and pen!
