Wonderful Tranzit Coachlines bus driver and Urban Manager, Christopher Candy, has written a picture book for children about the joys of riding a bus called 'Comet the Red Bus'.

Climb onboard the bus and he will read from his book and answer all your questions about driving and riding on a bus.

A bus will be parked up outside St Teresa’s School during this event and Christopher might even take members of the audience for a ride around town if they are keen.
Suitable for all ages from three to ninety-three!

Thanks to Tranzit Coachlines Wairarapa, the generous sponsors of this event, a coach will pick up our Featherston Booktown book-voucher-wielding young readers and their caregivers from Martinborough, Pirinoa, and Kahutara Schools, and bring them to Featherston Booktown in time for the Comet the Red Bus event.

Visitors can then enjoy a few hours at the Karukatea 2022 Festival before taking the return trip to their schools of origin.

Bookings for this coach are essential and will be done through these schools.
