Laugh along as some of Wellington's favourite comics work out new material for their extended shows later this year!

Featuring
Laura Bruce
Aaron Barber
Salome Bahnu
Gavin Hews

If you're the type that loves deleted scenes, extended editions, and director's cuts of your favourite flicks, then this is the show for you.

Watch great comedy take shape before your very eyes as four veteran comedians take on extended sets to work out new bits from their upcoming shows later this year.

Help shape the future of Wellington Comedy and you be the Judge at COMEDY ON TRIAL.

Laura Bruce
A Canadian now living in New Zealand, Laura is a Wellington-based author and speaker as well as an aspiring stand-up comedian.

She's been performing comedy regularly since October 2019 after relocating to New Zealand.
- "Best Newcomer - South Island" NZ Comedy Guild.

Aaron Barber
Former Texan Aaron Barber found himself "stuck" in Aotearoa during the pandemic. Unable to return to his adopted home in Malaysia and unwilling to go back to America for... reasons, Aaron jumped headfirst into the NZ comedy circuit. As co-creator of the Fringe Show "American Refugees", Aaron has been spreading big laughs touring across the North and South island. Brash and loud measured with wit and charm, he's one act you won't want to miss.

Creator of Yeah...Nah Comedy, Thursday Night Comedy Showcase, HOT AS F*CK
- "MC Of The Year" Cartel Comedy

Salome Bahnu
Hailing from the land of mangoes, this import is dazed and confused. Don’t get fooled by her innocence, this comedienne is pretty stupid too. If the word ‘oblivious’ had a face, this would be it. Her therapist has pissed herself laughing at her life story and begged her to do it on a public forum. With immense encouragement from her therapist and cats (Banana & Swipey), this comedienne made her debut on stage in Wellington, Nov 2020.

This Bollywood reality tv star risks her sanity and yours when she gets on stage.
- Yeah...Nah Comedy Winner

Gavin Hews
American born... and kiwi raised.

Gavin brings a unique perspective to the stage with his conflicting cultural outlooks on the world. The loud outgoingness of an American, coupled with the tall poppy syndrome of a kiwi creates a charming sense of humour with a healthy underlying dose of good old self-depreciation!
- "Comedy Partner of the Year" ABComedy Awards
