Come along and join us for an evening filled of creating here at EDIT on Seddon. Our CLAY CLUB series are lots of fun and a great chance to meet new people or to just relax with a bevy and a platter while getting your hands dirty.
This CLAY CLUB series we have decided to theme our classes. We will be making up to two pieces each week in each technique to suit different areas in your home.
The idea is, if you choose to do the whole series that at the end of the 5 weeks you will come away with the knowledge and skill set to hand build your own ceramics at home. You will also come away with a beautiful ceramic collection customised for your home and MADE BY YOU.
This hand-building pottery series suits everyone, no experience needed.
CLAY CLUB LINE UP!
COIL TECHNIQUE (Thursday 19th May)
In this class, we will be learning the coil technique and will be creating a series of pieces for your lounge.
Making examples:
- Vase
- Plater pot
- Candleholder
- Shelf ornament
PINCH POT METHOD (Thursday 26th May)
In this class, we will be learning the pinch pot method and will be creating a series of pieces for your bathroom.
Making examples:
- Soap holder
- Toothbrush holder
- Jewellery dish
- Pinch bowls
- Candleholders
SLAB TECHNIQUE (Thursday 2nd June)
In this class we will be learning slab technique and will be creating a series of pieces for your kitchen.
Making examples:
- Utensil holder
- Egg holder
- Spoon stand
- Soap holder
- kitchen dish
BISQUEWARE GLAZING (Thursday 9th June)
Our glazing nights are oftener most relaxing. There is no pressure to make the perfect shaped piece, you are just simply glazing.
Bisqueware examples:
- Vases
- Bowls
- Tumblers
- mugs
YOUR CHOICE (Thursday 16th June)
Your choice is a class where you will make what ever you like, using and technique. Pretty much free making time. We will be there to guide you through the process and help you where needed.
This class is the perfect way to test your skills you have gained throughout the series.
