To celebrate Conservation Week/Te Wiki Tiaki Ao Tūroa 2022 we will be having a unique Safari Experience on Sunday, September 11th. The Department of Conservation’s Clinton Duffy will be joining us on board as a guest speaker and sharing some insights and commentary during our safari.
Clinton is a Marine Mammal Technical Advisor in DOC’s Tāmaki Makaurau/Auckland team. His specialties include marine protected areas, coastal resource management and species conservation. Clinton is an expert on elasmobranchs (sharks and rays) and leads DOC's work on turtles and protected marine fishes, including great white sharks, basking sharks and oceanic manta rays.
Plus, for every ticket sold for our special Conservation Week Safari, we will be contributing $10 of the ticket cost to Million Metres Streams. The donation will plant a native tree and contribute towards restoring our waterways.
This event is part of Conservation Week 2022.
