Carters Ashhurst Pohangina Cup

The Ashhurst Pohangina Club played a vital role in the development of the Awapuni Racing Centre and this race day celebrates their involvement.

While racing was once held on the Ashhurst Domain before moving to Awapuni, we continue to recognise the valuable role of the Ashhurst-Pohangina Valley within the racing industry in the Manawatu.

The Club would also like to acknowledge the continued support of Carters who are sponsoring the main race on the day for 21 consecutive years!

This Raceday is currently being planned under the red traffic light level. Everyone on course must be double vaccinated and must produce a valid "My Vaccine Pass" to gain entry. Please note that we can't accept the purple appointment card as proof of vaccination.
