CHECAINE are a high energy, hard rock band that pride themselves on world class songwriting, powerful vocal hooks and a rhythm section second to none. They have been at the forefront of Australasian rock for over decade and have released several EPs, an album and a dozen music videos.
CHECAINE have routinely had their singles played on BAYROCK, GENERATOR FM, KAOS Fm and the national rock station THE ROCK FM. CHECAINE won the most voted NZ rock band in BAYROCK's "May NZ Music month band vote off competition" in 2021.
Having shared the stage with the likes of DEVILSKIN, IAMGIANT and FOZZY; as well as headlining countless shows and tours of their own, CHECAINE are widely accepted as one of New Zealand's' finest live exports.
The band are currently releasing new material via Cartel Records with the new EP "Black River" scheduled for release on March 25.
"CHECAINE effortlessly take the audience on a liberating and often, overwhelmingly, visceral journey through their employment of weaving dynamics and the delivery of transparent emotion".
- JOEL THOMPSON (RAIL RECORDS)
Never short of catchy choruses and tight musicianship, CHECAINE is one act to look out for...Sharing the stage with the likes of SUPERHEIST would make for an excellent gig, promoters reading take note.
- MATT BOLTON (HEAVYMAG.COM.AU)
"When a band realises their potential and gives everything they have got, you end up with a band like Checaine who have the power to captivate and make you reach for that repeat button just one more time. This is not just an EP you want, it’s a necessity."- KERRY MONAGHAN (NZMUZIC)
