Barrier Ninja: a unique verbatim play about hauora!
Barrier Ninja examines the experiences of health through the perspectives of nine different people. Nine people’s testimonies were recorded and edited into an audio score. The audio score is played on an MP3 player through headphones to the actor and then spoken word-for-word as part of the performance.
The play is included in the Hauora Māori medical curriculum at the Dunedin School of Medicine, University of Otago, where it has been seen by more than 800 medical students.
LATEST UPDATE: An NZSL interpreter will be at the 5.30 show on Friday 14 October.
