After the 2020 Level 4 Covid-19 Lockdown, Helen Staniland saw an opportunity. The South Island roads, normally busy with tourist campervans and tour buses, were empty. So, after packing up her van with everything she’d need for an extended adventure around the South Island, she set off on the trip of a lifetime ... then she wrote a book about her experiences.
