Watercolour Artist Linda Wills

An early interest in photography that was instilled by her father, led on to professional work as a photographer for 40 years, and videographer. This developed Linda's ability to view the world from an artistic perspective which naturally encouraged her to explore other genres of art.
Linda has always wanted to challenge herself and therefore chose what she had heard was the most difficult of mediums - Watercolour. And what was the most difficult of subjects? Portraits. They intrigued Linda.

Linda started with children and fell in love with each and every face. From there she thought, “Why not all people? Why not animals?” Sure enough, Linda loves each and every face she paints. Indubitably, Linda paints other things with enthusiasm, but faces are her passion. In the last couple of years, Linda has found herself illustrating children’s books - how lucky she is to have fallen into this vocation.

Linda is keen to pass on her knowledge to others interested in learning watercolour painting; a skill often passed over in favour of acrylic painting. This watercolour class will give you the basics, help point you in the direction of your passion, be it flowers, the sea, skies, trees, boats, people, and set you on your course. She sees the Art Collective Project as the perfect way to attract people from South Auckland who would enjoy and benefit from developing a creative interest. Feel free to contact Linda on 021.825.960.
