AOTANGO presents 'A Century of Tango'

Enjoy Aotango's seamless fusion of tango and world music in ‘A Century of Tango’, presented by world-class musicians who call Aotearoa their home.

Based in Tāmaki Makaurau, Aotango features violinist Andrew Beer (APO Concertmaster), pianist Somi Kim (NZTrio), double bassist Gordon Hill (APO Section Principal), jazz guitarist Sam Swindells and award-winning accordionist Grayson Masefield.

‘A Century of Tango’ is a musical journey through the evolution of tango, showcasing popular favourites such as El Choclo, Por una Cabeza, and La Cumparsita, to the revolutionary nuevo tango style works of Argentinian composer Ástor Piazzolla.

This concert will be filmed at the new Westlake Girls Events Centre with alumni Somi Kim performing on their Hamburg Steinway model D Concert Grand.
