Anzac Bay Summer Kick-Off Festival

Slide into summer with friends and whanau at Waihi Beach's inaugural Summer Kick-Off Festival!
- Kick back on the grass with the most incredible views down the bay; and enjoy a chilled afternoon of music, food, activities and local storytelling.
- Take in live music from Hamilton based band 'Looking for Alaska'; Tauranga musos 'Matty Buxton' & 'Regan Perry' and Waihi local 'Sarah Spicer' with guest appearance from 'Liam Ryan' (of The Narcs).
- Reon Tuanau from Otawhiwhi Marae will share stories of the significant site of Anzac Bay/Waipaopao across the afternoon, telling us about the rich history of the beautiful bay.
- Keep the kids happy with workshops and festival face painting; plus enjoy the outdoor food truck offerings of delish lunch offerings, coffee, fruit ice cream and much more!
- Bring your own beach chair and picnic too (unless you're tempted by the food trucks) - but remember to bring your own water bottle and reusable cups - as we aim to keep waste to a minimum at this festival.
