Otago Museum's one-and-only Amadeo is leaving Otago Museum after 20 years of explosions, explorations, and making science amazing.
We know we aren't the only ones who will miss Amadeo. His passion and boundless energy have seen him in every corner of the community, throwing open the doors of science for everyone. So please join us at 1pm on the Museum Reserve on Amadeo's last day, and help us send him off to Christchurch in true Amadeo-style!
Will it be a fireball? An enormous cloud? You'll have to come along and see!
Save room for some Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream that you can decorate yourself for just $5, then head up to our Barclay Theatre for a special, extended edition of Tūhura Favourites – our free science show – starting at 2pm.
Finally, don't forget to grab a photo with Otago Museum's local legend in front of Tūhura, the biggest science centre in New Zealand!
