After the success of the first Wellington Ukulele Festival on Valentine's Day last year and that there are so many people enjoying playing their ukes, singly or together Mainly Acoustic Music Club has organised the 2nd Wellington Ukulele Festival. The Festival will again enable people to learn new tunes or upskill with tips from experts and beginners can learn new things about playing their ukes.
Justin Reed (from Shenanigans, the popular band) Margaret Reed and Shane McAlister will lead the day of workshopping and mass strums.
It will be a day to play, learn and have fun.
The day is topped off with a finale concert in the venue's top-quality theatre from 4.15 pm -6.30 pm by The Nukes from Auckland-one of New Zealand's top-performing ukulele groups.
Catering and refreshments will be available on-site and nearby. The Dough Bakery is on site. There are other cafés, restaurants, etc. nearby. You are also welcome to bring food and refreshments with you.

11.30 am - introductions
Midday -1.30 pm - strumming/learning session
1.30 -2.00 pm - lunch break
2.00pm -3.30 pm - strumming/learning session
4.15 pm -6.30 pm - The Nukes in full concert - two sets including interval
