"What occurs is a revelation."

No rehearsal, no director, and a script waiting in a sealed envelope on stage. White Rabbit, Red Rabbit is an audacious theatrical experiment and a potent reminder of the transgressive and transformative power of theatre.

Internationally acclaimed White Rabbit, Red Rabbit by Nassim Soleimanpour has become one of the most widely performed plays in the world. It has been translated into 30 languages and performed by some of the most respected actors in the business.

Silo Theatre and Auckland Live unite on March 13, when White Rabbit, Red Rabbit is staged by theatre companies across the world to mark the passing of one year since many theatres worldwide were closed due to Covid-19.

In Auckland Tāmaki Makaurau, a one-night-only performance of this internationally celebrated script will feature Nicola Kāwana (UPU, Ahikāroa). This performance will launch the global act of solidarity dedicated to raising awareness of performers, technicians, and the wider performing arts sector's global struggles since the beginning of the pandemic. The performance will raise funds for the 2021 Auckland Fringe Festival artists whose shows were recently impacted by Covid-19.

In 2013, Silo Theatre staged a sold-out season of White Rabbit, Red Rabbit. This one-night-only opportunity to see the script performed will sell fast!

Wildly unpredictable and completely unforgettable, White Rabbit, Red Rabbit is a punch in the air for self-expression; a testament to the power of words to transcend cultures and borders. You have to be there.

"Looking around, the audience was pretty much on the edge of their seats from the get-go and throughout the 60-minute long show." - Theatrescene

"White Rabbit Red Rabbit is mesmerising to be a part of. It’s an experience well worth having. Go." - Theatreview
