What Colour is the Sky? - Laura Shallcrass Book Launch

Laura Shallcrass is an artist and author and a busy mum of two boys. She works from her home in the hills near Queenstown. Her first book, Hare & Ruru, won the Russell Clark Award for Best Illustrated Book at the 2021 New Zealand Book Awards for Children and Young Adults and was shortlisted at the NZ Booklovers Awards and the PANZ Design Awards.

Laura's new picture book for young children What Colour is the Sky? explores the wonder of nature and the importance of respecting other opinions, even when we see things differently.

This book launch and talk is aimed at adults interested in illustrating, writing and publishing children's books, and Laura will do a Q&A with Bethany G. Rogers, another local writer.

There is no charge for this event but registration is essential.
