Walk 28 – A ‘RAP’ with a View with Guides Sinclair Bennett and Christine Stroud

In 1992 botanist Hugh Wilson did a survey of Banks Peninsula biodiversity, and produced a list of ‘Recommended Areas for Protection’ (RAP). Come and join us on this new walk to visit one of the top ten highest priority areas, high above Little River. Botanist/conservation advocate Alice Shanks accompanies us to share her knowledge. As a bonus the walk includes one of the best 360 degree views on the Peninsula, along with some awesome rock outcrops. Note there will be a steep uphill scramble in places.

Duration: 7-8 hours. Walk length approx. 10km. Walk climbs approx. 800m.

TRAMP - Track mostly unformed

Wear sturdy walking boots. Bring lunch, water bottle, sunscreen, sunhat, layered clothing, a waterproof jacket and hand sanitiser.

Covid 19 - All participants are required to carry their own hand sanitiser. If at Alert Level 2 please bring your own face mask to wear in any instance where appropriate social distancing may not be easily maintained (car pools etc). The Festival will be cancelled at Alert Level 3 & 4 and you will be issued a refund.

Please be aware that credit card fees apply.
