We’re calling all poets to compete in the Waitaki Arts Festival Poetry Slam, hosted by an international crew of award-winning poets, Carrie Rudzinski, Ken Arkind and Mark Raffills.
Poetry Slam is the competitive art of performance poetry. Witness the most vital and energetic thing to happen to poetry in years and get ready to be transported and dazzled by dancing words as poets leave their hearts and souls on the stage.
With prizes on offer as well as the glory of being crowned poetry champion before your peers, you’d be mad not to stand up and take part.
Compete with your best 3 minutes or less. To participate register by 5pm, Tuesday 12 October by emailing oamaruoperahouse@waitaki.govt.nz. Spaces very limited. Confirm your slot ASAP.
You can purchase online or directly from the Opera House box office between 10am-4pm Mon-Fri.
The box office and the Opera House Cafe & Bar is open 1 hour prior to the show commencing and during interval. Please call 03 433 0770 if you require wheelchair seating.
