Transform your printed images into original 3D objects in this workshop led by Toni Hartill.

Toni will introduce a variety of simple folded structures and ways that these could be used to express your own ideas and concepts in tactile, 3 dimensional formats. This workshop will be focused on ideas generation and experimentation culminating in your own collection of sculpted samplers and mock-ups as a stepping-stone for future developments.

You’ll be repurposing your own stash of reject or surplus prints, papers and miscellaneous found materials and objects to create something new and exciting.

Book early so you don’t miss out - only 12 spaces available! All levels welcome. Age: 16 +

What to bring:
• Journal/pad for taking notes & sketching ideas and a camera/phone to take photos for reference.
• A small selection of papers to cut up, fold, glue into structures and to experiment with ideas. Scraps and leftovers are fine. Could include any of the following:
 Reject and/or surplus print images and papers. Double-sided is good. All-over textures and/or patterns work well too. Anything has possibilities!
 Found papers eg old maps, gift wrap, craft papers, old book pages, brown paper, textured papers…
 TIP: if you have some prints or papers that you would like to use in a project but are worried about ruining, photocopy them first to test your ideas with!
• Pencil, eraser and glue stick.

She exhibits regularly in group and selected shows and has works in collections in NZ, Australia, USA and UK. Toni has a BFA, Elam, and a Post Grad Dip of Secondary Teaching, University of Auckland.
