Tropical Downbeat Orchestra Live at SpaceShip

The original combo of the Tropical Downbeat Orchestra (Iraia Whakamoe, Will Sargisson, Matt Mear, Anton Wuts, Margot Pierard, Kurt Yates and Willie Devine) had a legendary Thursday night residency at the Windsock between 2005-2006. This residency laid the foundation for what the Tropics were to become. Every week a heady and infectious delivery of improvised musical conversations took place cementing the Tropics as stalwarts of the Hawke’s Bay musical scene for nearly two decades.

This Sunday 18th of July the Tropical Downbeat Orchestra invite you to Space Ship to experience the excitement and compulsive desire to dance that these freestyle jam sessions invoke.
