Presented by Kia Mau Festival in partnership with The Dowse Art Museum.

Join groundbreaking dance collective, TULOU, as they perform excerpts from TINĀ in The Most Dedicated: An Aotearoa Graffiti Story.

Choreographed by Ufitia Sagapolutele, younger sister of TMD member Raymond Sagapolutele (RIMONI). TINĀ has been developed in response to a series of photographs Raymond took of their mother in the old TMD studios in Onehunga – an artistic collaboration between siblings demonstrating the fruits of the TMD influence beyond visual art.

TINĀ invokes passion and heart through a fierce movement vocabulary with roots in Pacific and contemporary dance. Performed by a strong cast of women, TINĀ explores concepts of motherhood and mana wāhine.

Duration of excerpt is 30 minutes.
