To date Tim has recorded two full length studio albums in New Zealand Produced by Ben King and engineered by both King and Nick Abbott, Most recently, The Last Bastion Of a Lad features some of New Zealand’s finest musicians including Ben King (Goldenhorse), Milan Borich (Pluto), Matthias Jordan (Pluto, Night choir), plus appearances by Dominic Blaazer, Toni Randle (Eyreton Hall) and Callum Passells. Both Albums saw Tim bring his unique sound to life, receiving good reviews, and a sync with tv show, Shortland street. To tour the album Tim recruited session Drummer Freddie Green...and the Two was born.

Tim Allen is back with his explosive new single ‘Love is a pill’, which is released 19th March. It's the first taste of what you can expect from a rejuvenated artist with the world in his sights. Epic in every sense of the word, the track fuses huge sounds, raw feel and instantly memorable choruses. Sweeping and yet punchy, emotive whilst taking no prisoners, ‘Love is a pill’ is the sound of a band flexing their sonic muscles and demanding your attention resulting in a powerful offering - It’s a must hear! For this release, Tim has teamed up with Music Planet to offer an all ages Matinee show in the afternoon of each scheduled date. This is the first time a tour has been approached this way in NZ, and we think its a great idea to fuse the music community together with this hard working approach. ‘Love is a Pill’ was Engineered and Produced by Ben King, (Bic Runga, Tim Finn, Dave Dobbyn) and is the first single to be released from the as yet untitled new album by Tim Allen.
