he Real Theatre Company who staged the highly successful production of Badjelly the Witch at The Napier Municipal Theatre in 2019, is now staging The Wind in the Willows.
This is a co-production with the Municipal Theatre directed by David Coddington. It features a strong cast of well-known Hawkes Bay actors, including David Brown, Alan Powdrell, Melanie Himiona, Victoria Logan, Mick Ormond, and Amy Edwards playing the lead roles. With other roles played by students from Napier Girls High.
Performances will be at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm at The Napier Municipal Theatre on Thursday 22nd, Friday 23rd, Sat 24th of July in the last week of the school holidays. Come and join the adventures of Mole, Rat, and Badger as they try and keep the irascible Toad from becoming a victim of his own impulsive nature.
In doing so, they must avoid becoming victims of the nefarious weasels, stoats and ferrets, who hide in the Wild Woods, and now and again break out.
When they invade and take over the Toad Hall; Toad’s magnificent mansion, it’s up to our gallant trio to rescue the situation. Will Rat, Mole and Badger save the day? Come and see!
