The Three Trainings are considered to be the three seminal points of practice for anyone who wishes to embark on and travel the Buddhist path while developing the qualities expounded by Lord Buddha himself as necessary for attaining Enlightenment. Buddhism is generally associated with the term Path, however, is also categorised as a form of training.

Buddhist training generally falls into 3 categories: Sila/discipline-ethical training, Samadhi/meditative concentration and Pranja/wisdom or insight.
