Geraldine Rugby Club is supporting the Geraldine Home and Kindergarten Committee by staffing the cash bar with non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks.

Introducing The Great Laugh Comedians for 2021...
We are super excited to have the legendary Mike Boon MC-ing our event! If you haven’t seen Mike in action on stage yet, I promise you this event will be worth him alone!
Jeremy Elwood is making his second appearance in Geraldine for our fundraising event; he had the crowd in stitches in 2019. Jeremy is one of New Zealand’s favourite stand-up comics, with his unique brand of insightful, intelligent and irreverent comedy. He has been performing for more than 15 years and has the ability to get any crowd laughing. A regular guest on 7 Days, Jeremy has also appeared on our screens on several Comedy Galas, A Night at the Classic and more.
Tony Lyall will also be hitting the stage at The Great Laugh. You might recognize Tony’s face as a reporter and writer for The Project. He also has a segment on The Rock radio station. And, along with Jeremy, he writes for 7 Days...so you know these guys are going to be good as they write the funny stuff for other comedians!
The third comedian for our 2021 show might be a face many in Geraldine recognise. Shelley Iñón is a young mum who lives in Geraldine with her Argentinian volunteer-fire-fighting hubby, two energetic young boys and a parrot who talks to anyone! Before becoming a mother, Shelley dabbled in stand-up comedy and studied performing arts and onscreen acting. A comedic Wattpad writer, Shelley is trying her hand at stand-up comedy once again. Will she succeed, or should she stick to the keyboard, writing stories for GNews about our kindergarten’s runaway gin-loving ducks?!
