About this Event
Led by Ngā Kaiwhakatere o Taranaki and coordinated by Venture Taranaki, you are invited to the Tapuae Roa and Taranaki 2050 Roadshow to receive an update on the progress and implementation of Tapuae Roa and Taranaki 2050 actions. There has been a lot of great mahi happening around the region and some incredible initiatives that our community is working on.

The evening is an opportunity to acknowledge what Taranaki has achieved so far, give an overview of what is being currently worked on, and what is coming in the near future. We will also be providing an update on the next steps and answer any questions from the audience.

Confirmed speakers for New Plymouth evening event:

- Bry Kopu Scott from Ara Ake

- NPDC Councillor Stacey Hitchcock

Tapuae Roa is the regional economic development strategy and action plan for Taranaki, with focus on growing the talent and entrepreneurial mindsets, skills and capabilities of the wider Taranaki community as the foundation of a truly modern economy. The Tapuae Roa action plan was released in 2018.

The Taranaki 2050 Roadmap was initially launched at the Just Transitions Summit in New Plymouth in May 2019 and sets out a vision for Taranaki in the low-emission economy of the future. The Roadmap was co-designed by the region, for the region, and considers not just how our economy will change, but all other aspects of our lives, and provides the opportunity to plan for inclusive growth. Twelve transition pathway action plans were developed from September 2019 to June 2020.
