Tony Daunt and the Dauntless
Tony Daunt has his feet firmly in the pain and redemption of country music... soulful singing, a crying mourning pedal-steel, beautiful ringing Gretsch guitar tones... an excellent and enjoyable show – 13th Floor live performance review, January 2021. Join us for an evening of cool urban country with Tony Daunt & The Dauntless and Guests. Songs of regret, reflection and redemption that might just put a tear in your beer but are guaranteed to get your toe tapping! Band leader Daunt heads the five-piece ensemble: haunting pedal-steel, the plucking of double bass, smooth Telecaster guitar tones and a galloping drum beat punctuated with Daunt’s gritty, emotional singing.

Matt Joe Gow
As a kiwi who’s been based in Australia for several years, we’re delighted that critically acclaimed troubadour Matt Joe Gow can join us for this very special one-off event prior to him returning home to Melbourne in July. Matt brings a soulful Americana sound to any performance: from large festivals to boutique Americana gatherings, from supporting Chris Isaak to Kasey Chambers, Gow has built a simmering credibility to go alongside the authentic ‘Alt-Country’ tones. It was, however, his latest self produced album, ‘Break Rattle And Roll’ which ranges from Stones-esque blues rock and roll to hushed country heartbreak that truly resonated with fans and critics alike and went on to win the prestigious Music Victoria Award for Best Country album. More recently Matt has also enjoyed a number 1 single on the Amrap Charts (Australia) with his single “Too Far To Go”.

Louis Jarlov and the Lonesome
An explosive three-piece outfit steeped in old school country... but with a fresh twist. They bring a unique blend of Americana, country and rock n’ roll to the stage through strong story songs, upbeat dance numbers, and country standards. Three-part harmonies, light-hearted banter, and an energetic stage presence makes for an engaging band dynamic and performance. Jarlov’s emotional baritone and sophisticated songwriting belies his tender years. It also gives us all hope that country music is indeed, far from dead!
