Our current exhibition Still Life | Wild Places has been described as “not for the faint hearted” and features ethical taxidermy, bugs, jewellery inspired by medical implements, a mobile that could inspire nightmares rather than sweet dreams, and much more. Experience it after hours as we open especially for Halloween!

Our hosts will be dressing up and we’ll have some treats on hand for visitors who dress up too. Google image search ‘creepy Victorian’ for some era-appropriate inspiration, but be prepared for a fright! If the weather is nice you're welcome to bring a picnic or some treats to enjoy on our lawn but please note that no food and drink is allowed to be consumed inside the house.

Due to Level 2 restrictions, we have a limit on the number of visitors in the house at any one time so booking via our website is highly recommended. Session times begin at 6pm and are at 15 minute intervals until the last entry at 9.30pm.

Normal admission fees apply - your admission fee directly contributes to maintaining and caring for this Category I Historic Place and its collection. Thank you!
