Brought to you by the Arrowtown Creative Arts Society, Southern Soul are proud to present a beautiful celebration of song featuring our diverse material and the talents of all our members; songs from artists such as Queen, Lorde, John Legend, as well as some musical theatre, an original composition, traditional choral pieces - with some Christmas favourites thrown in the mix.

We are taking a non-conventional approach by placing the audience centre stage and singing around, in back and in front of our audience. Using Arrowtown's Athenaeum Hall as our acoustic shell, our “stage” will be on the floor alongside our audience. There will also be an opportunity for the audience to participate in an a-cappella choral “mash-up”!

We are a passionate group of singers, with a great love for the spiritual and human connection that choral harmony produces. Formed in 2019 our goal is to bring together a high standard of singers with a desire for the perfect blend.

Soloists include Emma Pullar (The Lynch Mob, Showbiz Queenstown), Margaret O’Hanlon (Red Band, Whirlwind Productions, Blue Door Jazz & Tiny Room Concerts), Natasha Wilson (Choir Leader & Turn Up The Music), Teegs Stallard (“Come As You Are” Tiny Room Concert, Whirlwind Productions), Dini Siddick (Indonesian Choir & Showbiz), Siobhan Hope (Showbiz), and introducing Michelle Moynes.

The choir is led by Natasha Wilson with Lizzy Green accompanying on piano. Katie Bridges, a recent arrival in Queenstown (via Hong Kong) is featured on the Harp allowing her extraordinary soprano voice to take centre stage for some traditional Celtic music.

Tickets include complimentary canapes. Doors and cash bar open at 6.30pm. Please note that you will need to show your Vaccine Pass as well as your ticket to enter the venue.
