Learn the traditional skills of making an original sterling silver ring or pendant by hand. Explore your own design with Alexandra, a professional silversmith who has studied Silver smithing and Jewellery Design at Chelsea and Kensington College.

She has also worked for prestigious fine jewellers such as Tiffany & Co, David Morris and Theo Fennel. Alexandra is passionate about jewellery making and teaching the craft to others.

Suppled: Tea, coffee, and biscuits. Some Tools and materials. However, students will need to bring some tools and silver listed below. You will need to wear safety goggles, apron, closed shoes, and your hair tied back. Bring your own packed lunch or visit the Whipped Baker Café just down the road.

Please bring: Sterling silver sheet metal 8cms squared. Easy medium & hard solder in 5-gram pieces. Jewellers saw and 0.2 size blades x12 blades or more. Metal ring mandrel for shaping your ring, Ball pene hammer. Needle files for filing and medium size files in flat round and half round. Round nose pliers, and flat nose pliers. Contact Regal Castings to buy tools or contact Alex for more info at alexandramostyn@hotmail.com. Some tools will be available at Hardware Stores.
