Seeds of Renewal

Seeds of Renewal celebrates the 30-year restoration project of this former quarry, drawing attention to the many processes used to renew, renovate, and restore the land, the soil and the vegetation. The event also highlights the values of reusing materials for creative ideas and refurbishment of sculptures and installations that tell NZ stories. https://vimeo.com/519698479

The Easter message of hope and renewal is especially welcome as the world tries to emerge from the pandemic. It is timely to think how best we humans can best look after and renew our world.

For this event, visitors can learn from a variety of workshops held within the park including:
- Plant propagation techniques
- Seed collection and storage
- Creating compost
- Celebrating the art of recycling
- Restoring a derelict site
- Soil rehabilitation processes

The usual entry fee includes any workshop or demonstration for visitors attend.
